Woman, 19, sentenced to death for getting raped at gunpoint in Pakistan

A 19-year-old woman has been sentenced to death by stoning for being raped by her cousin at gunpoint. The woman said she was sleeping at her family home in Rajanpur, in the country's central Punjab province, when her cousin attacked her.

She reported the crime to the local tribal court called panchayat but she was told she intentionally seduced her cousin.

The panchayat, which included the alleged rapist's father, then found her guilty of adultery and declared her an adulteress. She was sentenced to death by stoning or to be sold off, according to the Hindustan Times. The council at the tribal court also decided that the alleged rapist was to walk free.

The convicted woman and her father went to the police the day following the trial and the police have now launched an official investigation and issued an arrest warrant for the members of the tribal council. Another warrant has also been issued for the alleged rapist. The convicted woman has been taken to a refuge away from the village for her safety.

Venus Williams Not Sure What To Expect From Aunthood

Venus Williams has always tended to be the more reticent sister in terms of giving out personal information in comparison to younger sister, Serena.

So it came as no surprise that her lips were locked when asked if she already knew that Serena was expecting a baby with fiance Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit, during the Australian Open in January.

A mum's honest account of what it felt like when her baby son refused to breastfeed anymore has gone viral.

Emily Holdaway said she felt "rejected" and "useless" as she tried to offer her breast to soothe 19-month-old Ziggy to no avail.

Amazin Robot 'priest' can beam light from its hands and give automated blessings to worshippers

A robot 'priest' that beams lights from its hands and can give automated blessings to the faithful has been launched in the town that gave fame to Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation.

Five hundred years after Luther published the Ninety-five Theses in Wittenberg, kicking off the Reformation, an evangelical church launched a unique automated blessing robot for the special celebrations in the historic town located in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt.

The robot on show in the old town of Wittenberg is called "BlessU-2" and was developed by the Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau.

It consists of a metal box with a touch screen, two arms on the side, a head with eyes and a digital mouth at the top.

After the robot wishes users a "warm welcome", it asks them if they want to be blessed by a male or female voice.

It then asks the believer "what blessing do you want", which results in the robot making a mechanical sound as it raises its arms to the heavens and starts to smile.

Stunning 20 Feet Crocodile Dies After Fire Fighters Fought For 10 Hours To Rescue It

The stunning photos shows how firefighters rescuing a 20 feet-long crocodile from a drain during a 10-hour operation. But the rescue efforts were in vain as the reptile died hours later.

The one-tonne reptile was heard thrashing around after getting stuck in the tidal dam in Kapar, Malaysia, on Saturday night.

Emergency services arrived at 11.41pm and spent 10 hours battling to free the beast while the high tide obscured it. They eventually winched it from the water at 10am on Sunday morning but it died several hours later.
