THE MANUAL FOR LIFE - TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL WITH REV. KEN ESEKHAIGBE

YOU ARE READING TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL WITH REV. KEN ESEKHAIGBE
TODAY MONDAY APRIL24TH 2017
TOPIC: THE MANUAL FOR LIFE

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 1Corinthians 10:11

For every product that is purchased in the market there is always a manual that introduces you to how the product functions, its uses, how to benefit from it, how to properly manage and enjoy the product. Without going through the manual, one may still be able to make use of the product but will never fully maximize and enjoy it.

The same goes for you as a child of God who has received eternal life. You are Gods product, His life now resides in you and in this life is contained so much wonderful and beautiful things, you may however not fully benefit from these things if the proper knowledge is not in place. So God gave us the word as a guide, as a manual for our lives.

Like our opening scripture implies, the word of God is filled with examples of different men and women who actually lived thousands of years ago. Some in faith, some not, and the scriptures clearly points out to us the results of each. It shows us how God viewed all they did and Gods conclusion about their different actions.

With this in hand, you can tell the right course to take in life, you can know the mind of God concerning certain things, you can know the ways and actions of men, you can be wise concerning life. No wonder Paul writing to Timothy said “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise…..”

Through the help of the Holy Spirit, the scriptures can make you so wise in the affairs of life; it can culture, structure, discipline, correct, transform you and above all, help you live a beautiful life.

It is your manual for life so study it today to understand how to fully enjoy your glorious life in Christ. Have a great day.

FURTHER STUDY: 2 Timothy 2:15. 2 Timothy 3:15-17

CONFESSION: Good God, I thank you for this wonderful gift of your word given to me to navigate my way through life. I take advantage of it today to become wise unto righteousness and deal wisely with the affairs of life. Amen.

LEARN EXCELLENCE - TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL WITH REV.KEN ESEKHAIGBE

Rev Ken Esekhaigbe

YOU ARE READING TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL WITH REV.KEN ESEKHAIGBE
TODAY WEDNESDAY MAY 3RD 2017
TOPIC: LEARN EXCELLENCE

Learn to do well... - Isaiah 1:17

Excellence and high performance are not accidental, they aren’t occurrences of chance neither are they events of good luck. They are learnt.
Like our opening scripture spells out, a man can learn to do well. Doing well can be regarded to excellence and high performance at different areas.

There is no such thing as “I am just an average person.” Whatever you are is simply as a result of the level of knowledge and understanding you have acquired, so you can purposely choose to learn things that makes you excellent and work at them. You can learn certain traits, attitude and behavior that excellent people portray and imbibe them.

For example one major attribute of excellent people is diligence. You can learn to be diligent in what you do. You may never have been so, but you can choose to learn to be because you want to be excellent.

The bible says follow those who through faith have obtained. So in learning to be excellent, you can look out for bible characters who were known for their excellence and follow their principles. Good examples are Daniel, Joseph and Jesus. You can also have mentors in different areas that challenge you to do better.
Excellence is learned so learn to do well at all you do and always be at your optimal performance.

FURTHER STUDY: DANIEL 1:4

CONFESSION: I declare today that I walk in excellence.  I imbibe the proper attitude of excellence in every area.

DIVINE DIRECTION (PART 2) - TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL WITH REV. KEN ESEKHAIGBE

YOU ARE READING TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL WITH REV. KEN ESEKHAIGBE
TODAY MONDAY MAY 1ST 2017
TOPIC: DIVINE DIRECTION (PART 2)

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. - Psalm 32:8

We began the topic of divine direction in our last devotion and we will continue from there today. There is no leading in divine direction without instructions. If the Lord must divinely direct you, you must walk by His instructions.
The bible talks about how God led the children of Israel in the wilderness.

God led the children of Israel To Canaan by divine direction, but not without instructions. When you read through the book of exodus you will see how God led them by instructing them on so many things. Whenever He told them to stop, they had to stop and whenever He said move they had to move. There were certain significant instructions they had to follow. Those who disobeyed did not end well.

ALSO READ YESTERDAY'S DEVOTIONAL: DIVINE DIRECTION (Part 1)

In your fulfillment of vision, as God begins to give you directions, there will also be certain significant instructions, some of which will be just for you alone as an individual and following these instructions will determine the extent you go in fulfilling vision.

Another thing about how the Lord led the Israelites was that He led them in comfort. By day He was a pillar of cloud unto them to protect them from the scourging heat of the sun and by night He was a pillar of fire to them to give them warmth from the cold at night. That is wonderful. As God leads you to fulfill vision, there will certainly be times of trials but always know that He is a God of all comfort and He will comfort you. Hallelujah.

FURTHER STUDY: DEUTERONOMY 32:10. 2CORINTHIANS 1:3

CONFESSION: Lord I completely depend on your instructions in my
journey of fulfilling vision. I am thankful to you for leading me with so much comfort. Amen.

DO IT ALL BY FAITH - TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL WITH REV. KEN ESEKHAIGBE

DO IT ALL BY FAITH - TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL WITH REV. KEN ESEKHAIGBE

YOU ARE READING TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL WITH REV. KEN ESEKHAIGBE
TODAY FRIDAY APRIL 21ST 2017
TOPIC: DO IT ALL BY FAITH

“….And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:” Genesis 4:4b

Our opening scripture is an excerpt from the bible story of two brothers who both offered their offerings to God and one was accepted, the other wasn’t. Looking at this scripture singly you may not get the full picture of what transpired.

ALSO READ THIS: PAY ATTENTION TO REAL YOU

It says God had respect for Abel and his offering and not for Cain, but we know from the scriptures that God is not a respecter of persons. It then means it wasn’t the person of Abel God respected, it was his faith. The Spirit of God revealed this in the book of Hebrews 11:4 “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.” The bible says God Himself testified of Abel’s offering. How wonderful. God was however not partial, He respects and responds to faith. Faith is what pleases Him and without faith it is simply impossible to please Him no matter what we may seem to be doing.

YOU MAY ALSO LIKE THIS: YOU CAN WORK OUT YOUR SUCCESS

Faith doesn’t apply only when we want to receive from God, our service, our giving, all we do in His name has to be done by faith. God doesn’t respect the individual who seems to be doing it better in the sight of men; He respects the man who does it in faith. Faith is from the heart and responding, working, acting or doing our service by faith simply means doing it the way God says it should be done, acting and responding to what God has said, the way He said it.

Every service you render to God should be rendered with the spirit and attitude of faith because this is what makes it have value before the Lord. Have a great day.

FURTHER STUDY: ROMANS 14:23. HEBREWS 11

CONFESSION: Thank you everlasting God and father for your word that strengthens my faith continually. I render all my service and do all I do in your name through faith, doing it all in response to nothing else but your word. Amen.

COVENANT OF WEALTH - REV KEN ESEKHAIGBE'S DAILY DEVOTIONAL

COVENANT OF WEALTH - REV KEN ESEKHAIGBE'S DAILY DEVOTIONAL.JPG

DAILY DEVOTIONS WITH REV KEN ESEKHAIGBE
TODAY MARCH 15TH 2017
Topic: COVENANT OF WEALTH

“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for [it is] he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as [it is] this day.” Deuteronomy 8:18

The wealth talked about here goes beyond just having physical money. Wealth here talks about Gods divine blessing in its complete form. There is a covenant of blessing that every Christian ought to walk in and in it is all you can ever need for life.
For a covenant to however be operative, there must be a sought of relationship between the parties involved. In this case that relationship begins when a man receives Christ. This is what gets you connected to Gods covenant of wealth where you can begin to walk in the blessing.

For every child of God who is connected to this covenant of blessing, it is important to know that there is a system of prosperity with which it functions which is Gods system of prosperity. This is where some have gotten it wrong. Though a man may be connected to the blessing, he could still suffer lack in different areas if he chooses to walk in the worlds system. “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:” Genesis 12:1-2

ALSO READ: INCREASE IN UNDERSTANDING

One major factor that affects our operation in Gods system of prosperity is our relationship. In the above scripture, God wasn’t just trying to change Abrahams physical location, Gods plan was to change Abrahams view from the world system thereby connecting him to Gods system. This was not going to be possible if Abraham remained in his father’s house because his kindred and family were deep in idolatry and other forms of worldly activities that won’t let Abraham walk in Gods counsel as he is supposed to so God had to pull him out setting his focus on a new kind of relationship which is a relationship with God. Psalm 1;1 says “Blessed [is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”

The blessings of God cannot rest conveniently on a man who still operates in the system of this world and walk in its ways. However when you pull out from the worldly system and walk with God, refusing to consider the counsel and ways of the ungodly then it becomes easy to follow Gods counsel thereby causing the blessing to rest properly. This is where your relationships come in. It’s very important for you to connect the right relationship and this begin with being close to God, verse two of Psalm 1 says  But his delight [is] in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Studying and meditating on the word of God continually will help build your relationship with God and help connect you to other meaningful relationships where you can get  right counsel and enjoy God’s blessings and grace more than ever before. Have a great day.

SCRIPTURAL REF: Hebrews 11:8-10  Deuteronomy 5:33 Psalm 84:12

PRAYER: Thank you Father for connecting me to your covenant of wealth through Christ Jesus. I therefore walk in your system of prosperity even as I enjoy the manifestations of your blessings upon every area of my life in Jesus name. Amen.

VISIONS (Part 2) - TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL WITH REV. KEN ESEKHAIGBE

YOU ARE READING TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL WITH REV. KEN ESEKHAIGBE
TODAY THURSDAY APRIL 26TH 2017
TOPIC: VISIONS (Part 2)

For all the land which thou seest,.. Gen 13:15.

You need to have a picture for your future, because until you begin to see something, you can’t reach it. God speaking to Abraham said *For all the land which thou seest,*Gen 13; 15. God knew that in order for Abraham to fulfill destiny and become what God had called him to be, he had to use the power of vision. God wasn’t just referring to Abraham seeing with his physical eyes because that is limited, God was referring to the power of vision that helps you see beyond your surrounding and present circumstances.

ALSO READ YESTERDAY'S DEVOTIONAL: VISIONS (Part 1)

God is always attracted to men who are running with vision, and it is the size of what you see that will determine the attraction of God to your life.

It is very difficult to frustrate a man who has seen, because once a man has caught a vision and embraced it, and is running with it, it is almost impossible to stop him. What he has seen would always propel him, the vision he has caught becomes his energy to pursue.

Joseph had a vision that one day he would rule over his brothers and when he told them about it, they got angry with him and wanted to do away with him. They succeeded in selling him off as a slave but this did not deter Joseph because he knew what he has seen. The same Joseph was imprisoned for what he didn’t do but still would not let himself be stopped because the power of vision urged him on. He finally became the ruler he always dreamt he would be and his brothers who thought they had killed his vision by trading him as a slave finally came around to bow to him, and he (Joseph) saved their lives (GENESIS chapter 37 – 45). It’s hard to stop a man who is running with vision.

To be continued…….

CONFESSION: I declare that I am a man with vision; I see beyond my present circumstance, I see as far as the Lord has shown me through the power of vision.

BE TIMELY - DEVOTIONS WITH REV. KEN ESEKHAIGBE

DEVOTIONS WITH REV. KEN ESEKHAIGBE
DEVOTIONS WITH REV. KEN ESEKHAIGBE
MARCH 21ST 2017
Topic: BE TIMELY

“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” JOHN 9:4

Most believers do not understand the place of timing, mostly because they don’t really understand how much God values time.

Doing what God has told you to do at your own time could sometimes be detrimental. However this is the case with many Christians today.

Jesus, just before He was to be crucified decided to go and pray and He asked some of His disciples to accompany Him which they did. However when they got to the place, the disciples rather than pray, they were sleeping and Jesus came and woke them, asking them to pray so that they do not fall into temptation, but they went back to sleep. Jesus came the second time but the same thing happened, the third time when they were about to get up and pray Jesus said unto them, sleep on for the adversary is already here. (Luke 22:44-47).

How touching. The disciples actually fell into temptation and were scattered but thank the Lord Jesus for His mercy, He brought them joy again and helped them stand. Just like it was then, so it is now. The Spirit of God gives us promptings in our spirit sometimes to get up and pray, probably because of an impending crisis or something that needs to be taken care of in prayer. Our ability to respond at the right time would determine the results we finally get.

Jesus was always timely, no wonder He said, “I must do the work of Him that sent me while it is still day, for the night cometh when no man can work again.” John 9:4. This topic stretches forth to those whom God has also delegated with assignments in His house. Some do not take responsibility of their assignment in Gods house, they trivialize it thinking there is time and before they know it they lose their place. This is what happened to Saul. 1 Samuel 16:1a “And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel?”

The Lord said to Samuel how long will thou mourn for Saul. This means Samuel had always been praying for Saul, standing in gap for mercy on him, but Saul refused to get it and before he knew it he had lost his place.

Choose to be timely today, understand the times and season we are in and the urgency. Work with Gods timing, handle your assignment in Gods house like the master is coming the next hour for the bible says happy is that man whose master shall find doing the work when He shall return.

SCRIPTURAL REF: MATTHEW 24: 45-51

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I thank you for your word. I walk with the consciousness of your time today. Thank you for high sensitivity to the move of your Spirit in our time and season that causes me not to miss my time of manifestation in Jesus name. Amen

RESIST THE DEVIL - Rev Ken Esekhaigbe's Daily Devotional

DEVOTIONS WITH REV. KEN ESEKHAIGBE
MARCH 14TH 2017.
Topic: RESIST THE DEVIL
Rev Ken Esekhaigbe.j pg
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Victory belongs to you as a child of God. You are more than a conqueror and an over comer in Christ Jesus. In Christ, you have triumphed over the devil and his cohorts of darkness and he knows it. Question is, do you? And if you do, are you enforcing your dominion and victory? This is where the fight of faith comes in.

The wicked one in his wrought has swore to make war with the children of God and he will do all he can to cause them to lose their faith because faith is our victory and once it is lost, victory is lost. So the bible says, resist the devil and he shall flee…. He is bound to takeoff when a Christian stands in faith on God’s word. Peter speaking says in 1Peter 5:8-9 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: WHOM RESIST STEDFAST IN THE FAITH, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” So you resist him in faith. He may bring false things against you and try to make you agree with it or accept it but you must refuse to.

It doesn’t matter how long the situation may have lasted, if it doesn’t concur with the word of God concerning you, you can stop it today. Sometimes he tries to make some people feel what they are going through is Gods will but the Bible has told us in James 1:17 that “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” The bible also says the blessings of God adds no  sorrow and in Jeremiah 29:11  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
As a child of God, you can enforce your victory in wherever the devil has tried to steal your peace or joy. You resist him by speaking forth Gods word concerning that area of your life, speak forth what you want to see.

Remember the bible says …Resist Him….. so it means you would have to stick with your confessions of victory even when the situation still looks like its not changing. The bible already said, he is bound to flee if you stick with the word of God. Don’t declare the word today and then tomorrow say something else. Stay with it. He may have tried to attack your marriage, you can kick him out today by speaking forth what you want to see concerning that marriage, it could be your job, begin to speak forth in faith.

No matter what the situation is and no matter how long it has lasted, if it is not of God then it is a lie of the devil and you can stop that lie today. The word says you should. Don’t loose heart because of how long that problem has lasted, no matter how long a lie is told, it can never suddenly become true. So you can stop the lie the devil is trying to show you concerning your finance, job, marriage and other areas of your life by speaking forth the truth which is God’s word.
This is why you need to know Gods word for yourself. It is the weapon with which we resist the devil. He came to Jesus with several temptations and Jesus resisted him with the word and he left. Never agree or succumb to his lies and tricks, resist the devil and he shall flee. Have a great day.

SCRIPTURAL REF: Heb 6:17.

PRAYER:
Thank you Lord for the power and authority. I take charge over every area of my life today and command it to go in line with Gods word concerning me. I refuse to accept what God did not call me or what God did not give me in Jesus name. AMEN.

DIVINE DIRECTION (Part 1) - TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL WITH REV.KEN ESEKHAIGBE

YOU ARE READING TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL WITH REV.KEN ESEKHAIGBE
TODAY SATURDAY, APRIL 29TH 2017
TOPIC: DIVINE DIRECTION (Part 1)

The LORD [is] my shepherd; I shall not want. - Psalm 23:1

In the past few days we have been on the topic of vision. It is important to know that in the pursuit of vision, there must be proper directions in order to get to that place you have seen else one might be misled.

David said, the Lord was his shepherd. Beloved who is your shepherd? Who is leading you in this journey of vision?

David went ahead to list the benefits of having the Lord as his shepherd. These things are testimonies of David’s experience of having God in his life as his shepherd.

ALSO READ THIS DEVOTIONAL: VISIONS (Part 3)

It is important to take note of the words David used. He said he shall not want because the Lord is his shepherd. In verse three he said…
he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness…

The Lord leads him in a righteous path and because he has the confidence that the Lord is the one leading him, he affirms that even though he walks in the face of death he would not be afraid. He went further to say that God prepares a table before him in the presence of his enemies, meaning there would be enemies, vision attracts helpers and enemies too, but when the Lord is the one leading you, those enemies don’t matter.

This particular scripture shows us that God never promised us an enemy free life in our pursuit of vision rather He lets us know that these enemies would gather around you and only watch you become all God has made you to be. So leave the league of those always complaining about what enemies are doing and start living the higher life with God as your Shepherd.

To be continued…

FURTHER STUDY: 2CORINTHIANS 2:14

CONFESSIONS: The Lord is my shepherd I don’t lack. Thanks be unto God who leads me in a triumphal procession all the way.

SUBMIT TO TRAINING - DEVOTIONAL WITH REV KEN ESEKHAIGBE

YOU ARE READING DEVOTIONAL WITH REV KEN ESEKHAIGBE
TODAY MARCH 25TH 2017
TOPIC: SUBMIT TO TRAINING

“And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained [servants], born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued [them] unto Dan.” GENESIS 14:14

God has a laid out structure and system to help you grow and become very useful in the kingdom. It is the process of training. There are certain levels at which God wants to use us that requires the process of training. Everyone to be used of God must go through it.

In our opening scripture the bible records that when Abraham was to go rescue his nephew Lot he chose only trained servants. There probably were more men that could have been taken along for the battle but Abraham knew that if he added untrained men to the number maybe with the intention of having a greater army, they would end up wearying everyone. (Eccl 10:15)

So it is a principle God strictly adheres to. Responsibilities are given BY God according to different levels of training, and this is why Paul strictly charged that a man who wants to attain a certain level in the Kingdom must not be a novice. A novice is one lacking in the desired training. Paul said if such a person is given a task, he could end up destroying himself.

Training increases your value, it makes you useful and resourceful. No matter how great a man’s destiny is, without training he may never accomplish it, and this was what happened with Moses when he tried to be a deliverer without the required training (Exodus 2:11-14). Though he was actually born a deliverer, He made a mess of it. So God had to properly take him through the process of training under Jethro before bringing him back to fulfill his destiny. This is a life principle. Training requires time, so you must be patient to go through it, humble enough to submit to it, and ready to pay for it where need be.

Training are at different levels and stages, so submit to it today and become a man of extraordinary value that can be used by God. Have a great day.

SCRIPTURAL REF: 1TIMOTHY 3:6. Eccl 10:15

CONFESSION: I submit myself in humility to every required training I need in life. I am sensitive enough to recognize and yield myself to the areas of training I require and grow into a man of extraordinary value. Amen

MAINTAIN THE RIGHT ASSOCIATION - DEVOTIONAL WITH REV. KEN ESEKHAIGBE

YOU ARE READING DEVOTIONAL WITH REV. KEN ESEKHAIGBE
MARCH 29TH 2017
TOPIC: MAINTAIN THE RIGHT ASSOCIATION

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. 1Corinthians 15:33

Just as faith comes by hearing, so do many other things gain access to our lives through what we hear and also see. Attitudes, fear, doubts, unbelief, confidence and many other traits are formed in one’s life through the communication he engages. This is why a Christian is admonished several times in the scripture on the kind of association he maintains. Your kind of association, that is, the people you are involved with, discuss with, and listen to constantly, will determine the kind of communication you engage in and this has an effect on your life.

You can’t be too wise or tough about this, so long as a man continually gets the wrong information coming into his mind, he is bound to begin to tilt towards that direction with time. So the scripture made it clear in Psalm 1:1  “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly…..” Refusing to continuously listen or participate with anything that does not conform with God’s word for your life makes you blessed.

The eyes and the ears are two major access points through which contents gets into our hearts and whatever the contents of our hearts are determines our character, actions and outcomes in life. So it is important you maintain good and godly association that inspires the right communication in order to get the right contents in your heart. The bible says in Proverbs 13:20 “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” Choose the right association today.

FURTHER STUDY: Psalm 1:1-4. 2Corinthians 6:14

CONFESSION: Thank you dear Lord for the wisdom to choose and maintain the right association. I walk with the wise for I am also wise because Christ is made unto me wisdom. Amen
