TOPIC: INCREASE IN STRENGTH

“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” Proverbs 24:10

As a believer, there is no doubt that there would be trials on your journey of faith. The word of God has promised you lots of it. These trials are however not meant to make you stray or fall but they will if you do not have the required spiritual strength. Understand that the trials are not from God, but He allows some of them to strengthen our faith.

Like our opening scripture clearly points out, your fainting in the days of adversity is not because the challenge is too big, or the enemy is too strong, the reason is because your own strength is small. The Spirit of God channeled the reason for fainting to the believer. It then means that all I need to do as a believer is increase in strength and no trial will ever be an issue anymore.

ALSO READ: AN EXCELLENT SPIRIT

The bible says in Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” That is your secret right there; the way to continually increase in strength is to wait upon the Lord. Waiting upon the Lord doesn’t mean you sit down and do nothing. You can wait upon the Lord through study of the word, prayers, engagement in ministry activities like evangelism, also attending the assembly of fellow believers where the word of God is shared.

Know this today, the question is not the strength of the challenge, it is the strength you possess. Increase in strength today by waiting upon the Lord constantly and no opposition will be able to stop you. Have a great day.
